About Knott 4 Gotten

Knott 4 Gotten was built on a simple belief: No one is left behind. we exist to support people navigating recovery, reentry, and the difficult transition toward a more stable future. Through lived experience, peer support, advocacy, and community connection, we meet people where they are and help them move toward where they want to be.

WHY WE EXIST

Knott 4 Gotten was created from lived experience and understanding that the days immediately following release can determine what happens next. Too often, people leave incarceration with little more than clothes they are wearing and are expected to navigate treatment, supervision, housing, transportation, and basic needs on their own. "Our goal is to help bridge that gap..."

Our Story

Knott 4 Gotten grew from lived experience.

I know firsthand how difficult it can be to rebuild a life after incarceration, addiction, and repeated setbacks. I also know how much difference the right person, the right resource, or simply knowing someone hasn't given up on you can make at the right moment.

My own journey through the justice system, recovery, treatment, and reentry showed me where some of the biggest gaps exist — especially during the critical transition back into the community.

Knott 4 Gotten was created to help fill those gaps. Not by doing the work for someone, but by walking beside them, helping remove barriers, connecting them with resources, and reminding them that their past does not have to determine their future.

That's the heart of Knott 4 Gotten: No one is left behind.

Our Vision

We envision a community where people returning from incarceration or rebuilding their lives in recovery have a genuine opportunity to succeed — with access to support, treatment, stable housing, transportation, community connection, and people who believe in their ability to move forward.

Our vision is bigger than getting someone through the first few days after release. It is helping create a path toward long-term stability, recovery, independence, and belonging.

Everyone Deserves a Real Chance

Reentry is more than walking out the door. It's having someone there who understands the road ahead, believes change is possible, and is willing to walk beside you through the difficult first steps.

At Knott 4 Gotten, no one should have to make that transition alone.
